Playa del Carmen is the perfect launchpad for the Riviera Maya: Caribbean beach, Quinta Avenida on foot, and an hour by car from Tulum, jungle cenotes and the Cobá ruins. It's the ideal base if this is your first time in the area and you want to see it all without repacking every two days.
Our two villas — Villa Ceiba Jacuzzi and Villa Ceiba Piscina — are two separate, standalone houses on the same corner in Playa's Centro, at Calle 45 Norte and 2 Norte Bis, a 10–15 minute walk from Quinta Avenida and the sea. Each has its own garden, full kitchen and that quiet you rarely find in Playa unless you step slightly off center. Book one or both — they fit large families or two couples traveling together.

+Is there sargassum on the beach?
Possible between April and September — it's a regional phenomenon affecting the whole Riviera Maya, not just Playa. We share updated reports before your arrival.
+Do I need a car?
No, if you're staying in Playa. Yes, if you want to explore cenotes and ruins independently. Car rentals from ~800 MXN/day.
+Kid-friendly?
